Or... running, but that didn't quite fit. This morning I was reading, again, about really using a range of angles when you're photographing normal scenes to get more of a "wow" effect. So down on my belly in the street I went. I love his honest happiness here :)

Do share your info :) I'm always up for a good read. I love this perspective. And he is such a cutie pie.

Wow...the composition and the low angle are so impressive. The colors are also so natural, which I love.

Love this shot! Love the hazy over exposure of everything but he is so crisp and clear. Beautiful.

I have been laughed at many times for the weird positions I get in to take photos from the angle I am trying to achieve. Good job!

What a lovely shot! Yep I always try to wear comfy clothes when I have my camera in hand b/c you never know what I'll need to climb or lay on. :) BTW, I love how much space you have around you w/ those empty lots!

This is really darling, I love the expression on his face! Twice now I have gone out not planning to get out of the car and ended up knee deep in snow wearing flip flops... what we do for that perfect shot!!!

That is awesome. It just feels like freedom. Love belly shots...I seem to spend a lot of time there.

Well, my reading was actually just a single post on Clickinmoms in which Beth Ross explained what got her out of a slump of feeling like her photographs were "ordinary." She said she made a conscious effort to shoot from unexpected angles and so that it is what I set out to do :)

Ditto to what everyone else has said. Not only the angle, but the composition is great, too.

I was once told by a very accomplished photographer to take my shot and then take it from another angle and then another angle to get completely different perspectives. This reminded me of those words and it looks like I'm going to be on my tummy a little in the coming weeks!
