35/365: Reading

untitled.jpg

This boy loves his books. In the past week or so he has begun reading 2 and some 3 letter words. Every time he works his way through sounding out a new one I am amazed. Reading is so exciting. I spent a good portion of my childhood with my nose in a book... and I can only hope my children find the same kind of enjoyment in books.

I love this image and the story behind it. Here we are at the same stage, where reading is so exciting.

Ditto. My kindergartener read Red Fish, Blue Fish all by herself tonight and we almost threw her a party. I don't know who was more excited, her or me. I love the sweetness of your photo. A beautiful way to capture such a special milestone.

Such an exciting milestone! I grew up reading too. Wish I had more time for it now.

Ben is doing the same thing and it is so much fun to see the excitement on his face when he sounds out a word correctly. It overjoys me to see him so proud of himself. Way to go Isaac!!! Sweet image and love your bedspread :)
