54/365: Take Your Pick

untitled-3.jpg

You can either choose to look at this friendly little lady-bug, or....

untitled-2.jpg

...this decidedly not so friendly spider, who caught, "de-winged," and packaged up his dinner for later while I was crouched down taking pictures. My back was not so happy with me for spending so much time trying to balance the heavy macro with my elbows on the boards of the raised planter beds... but finding 2 (well, 3 I suppose) insects at once was too good to pass up.

I like 'em both. :) I love that you can see the thread/silk/whatever still attached to the spider. Great timing!

They're both perfect! The colors are so vibrant and the insects so clear and detailed.

I love these macro shots...beautiful bokeh. I can sympathize about your back pain. Sometimes we really have to suffer to get the shot! I also really like the little fist and the colorful beads. These are all really beautiful!

These are so great. I'm totally in love with the red against the green! And the spider picture is amazing with how you captured the web and all.

The spider is creepy, but it's a fabulous shot and the one I find myself drawn too. Both are great though; I think I need to start playing with some macro shots because you all are coming up with some really fun stuff,
